Lucy's Noman

When the kids go to school, I try to make sure that I spend part of every day doing something with Lucy that she loves. Lucy absolutely loves play doh!

This day in the beginning of August, Lucy made a nowman or in other words a snowman.

Lucy was so excited and proud of her snowman. She was so cute! I am grateful for the opportunity  I have to stay at home with her and not miss out on these little moments.

Armor of God

One of the things that I absolutely love about my husband is the fact he makes his role as a father a high priority.

The Monday that the kids went back to school, Brandon planned an awesome lesson for the kids about putting on the armor of God each day so that they will be able to become the best person they can be.

Brandon even made cardboard cut-outs for each piece of armor he talked about.

The kids absolutely loved the lesson and it will be one that they will remember.

Elder T.

On one Sunday in August, our nephew Steven was set apart as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. There was a tender spirit there that day during all the festivities. Steven gave a wonderful farewell talk.

We made sure to take pictures as a family. We were only missing Brandon's brother Brian.
Steven will be and is a remarkable missionary. I have always been impressed with the young man that he is. He will accomplish amazing things on his mission, even if it is to help one person come to the realization that they are a child of God.

We are grateful for Steven's willingness to serve the Lord. We are also grateful for the great example that he is to our children.

Colorado Fun

After we spent time in Utah, we headed over to Craig and Nancy's house for some fun. Our oldest nephew was heading out on his mission to Chile. It was wonderful to get together with family.

The Saturday before Steven gave his farewell talk, Craig and Nancy had an open house with delicious food.

As you can tell, the kids enjoyed spending time with their cousins.

It was a beautiful Colorado afternoon! The perfect day to spend time catching up with family.

Utah Wrap-Up

We had a great time in Utah! I think we went swimming at least half of the time we were there.

We loved going to Grandpa and Grandma Hot Chocolates house and playing with cousins.

We enjoyed going with Papa to his City Council functions.

Also, while we were there we went shopping for school supplies.

We also had a great time going to Trafalga with our pass of passes and played many rounds of lazer tag and miniature golf.

Most importantly, we loved spending time with our Papa, Grandma, Millie, Court, Sean and Tracy and other family members.

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

Another fun thing we did in Utah was just for the girls. Emmy, my mom and I went and saw the Scera Shell's production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.

We had such a great time! Emmy fell in love with the show and the music just like I did as a young girl. It was also fun to watch since one of my cousins was playing a role as one of the seven brothers.

It was a fun night to spend with just the girls!

Kangaroo Zoo

It wouldn't be a complete visit to Utah unless we stopped at Kangaroo Zoo.

The kid always love going to Kangaroo Zoo and jump around!

Lucy was in pure heaven since she was finally tall and big enough to do almost everything she wanted with little assistance. Of course the big kids were always eager to help her.

We were luck to have grandma share the fun day with us!

We love Kangaroo Zoo.
