During the month of January 2017 our little town was pounded with some large snow storms. Thank goodness we had some friends with tractors who came to dig us out. While our neighbors dug us out, they piled the snow in a huge pile in front of our house. The kids absolutely loved playing on the huge hill.
We even bundled up Brigham and took him out for a minute or two.
The kids decided to try out the hill with our sleds. Lucy preferred to slide down the enormous hill on her bum!
Don't let the sunshine fool you, it was freezing in the month of January. The kids enjoyed the snow until it was gone! It is a fun winter memory!

My Silly Kids
I I love that my Ben and Emmy take time to still be silly with each other. I love it when they ask me to take their pictures. I feel these cute pictures help display their fun personalities.

Water Party
During the month of July, I had each of the kids invite a couple friends over so we could have a water party.
I saw some fun ideas for a water party on Pintrest and wanted to try them out.
We played a few different types of water relays.
We also played a water balloon catch contest. After each complete catch, the kids had to take another step away from each other.
Another game we played was Sponge Ball (dodge ball). I made these cool sponge balls by cutting up sponges and tying them together. If you were hit by a sponge ball, you were out.
We also played the game Dribble, Dribble, Drench (just like Duck, Duck, Goose, ) which surprisingly was a lot of the kids favorite.
Of course we had to have a water fight with balloons too!
To finish the day, the kids ran through the sprinkler and slid on the water blob that Brandon and I made. The boys seemed to really enjoy it, the girls weren't so sure.
Besides playing games, we had lunch for our guest. We feed them Pigs in a Blanket, Watermelon, Popsicles and had kool-aid for the drink.
Overall, it was a great day to celebrate the beauty of summer.

Bike Wash
One of the things the kids really enjoy doing each summer is having a bike wash.
The kids fill up buckets with soap and water. The kids make sure to ride their bikes through the muddle puddles on our road to make them nice and dirty! The kids then line up their bikes to get them all washed down and clean!
I only took one picture of their grand adventures with the water, mud and bikes.
There is usually lots of water and fun!

A Princess, a Cowgil and Cowboys
One Sunday in December, the kids spent the afternoon in an imaginary world. The kids dug through the dress up box and found some fun things to dress up as.
It was very enjoyable to hear the kids interact in their imaginary world together. I love it when they treat each other with love and kindness and get along so well. It is moments like these that make me treasure my role as their mother in this stage of their life and makes me wish for time to slow down just a little bit more.

Playing in the Rain
One day in August, we had a down pour! The kids were so excited to go outside and play in the rain with their umbrellas. The kids were laughing and smiling and having the time of their lives!
Watching my children play in the rain made me smile and laugh at my sweet children enjoying the moment and enjoying the simple pleasures of childhood.

A Fun Summer
We had a fun, but busy summer.
The kids loved playing outside with their friends and riding their bikes.
The kids, especially the girls, loved to lay blankets out on the grass and enjoying the sunlight.
I would stop and take a moment to read in the shade to my kids.
We got a pass to the local pool and went swimming many times.
Lucy's favorite pal in the water was her rhino. She felt invincible with her beloved pal wrapped around her race.
We enjoyed going to our local farmer's market, always making sure to end the adventure with a treat.
