Fun Games With Grandma and Grandpa

Brandon's mom planned a bunch of fun games for the kids to do together with them.

Some of the games included who could throw a paper airplane the farthest, pillow case races, who could jump the highest and other fun silly games and contests.

It was a time well spent together as a family that we all enjoyed!

Thanksgiving 2015

Thanksgiving was a great day in Texas.
The girls eagerly helped Grandma make some pies for the festivities.

It was a great day filled with delicious food. It was fun to spend some time with our new cousins!

We had much to be grateful for!

Our Boxcar Adventure

One of the nights we spent in Texas, we stayed at a local hotel that had a boxcar for us to stay in!

We absolutely loved it! We spent the day exploring the amazing property.

That night we hunkered down and watched a movie together as a family after we went to Subway to dinner and had frozen yogurt for dessert.

The next morning, we woke up again and had a great time playing on the property. We saw the little animal farm and fed the animals. We played basketball, played on the swing set and other fun things.

The kids even found a large chess board.

We had a wonderful time with our family at the boxcar!

Fossil Rim Wildlife Center

Another one of the favorite things we did on our trip to Texas was spending time at the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center.

We would drive around the park in our van and various animals would come up to our car and we would feed them.

The animals that we fed ranged from a wide variety of sheep and antelope to an elk and giraffe.

Some of the favorite moments were when an animal was coming into Hyrum's side of the car and so Brandon and Lucy were watching that animal.  At the same time a large elk came into Brandon's and Lucy's side.  Lucy was terrified and screamed so loud!
Lucy went to the complete back of  Brandon's parents' car when the giraffe came to their car.  She totally hid behind a sun visor too.
There was also a zebra that loved Ben and would keep following our car to be fed by him.

Emmy loved feeding the little baby animals.

The giraffe's whole head came into the van and used its tongue to take the food from Brandon's hand.

It was a wonderful experience that our kids still talk about with fun memories. It was great to experience it with Brandon's parents too.
