Summer Baseball 2013

The boys played baseball this past summer. They had fun and learned much about the game. Ben and Hyrum had a wonderful coach that helped them become better players and people as he treated them with kindness while still encouraging them to reach their full potential. 

During the season Ben played a little bit of outfield, catcher and third base.

 Hyrum played pitcher, first base and third. 

The girls did a great job cheering on their boys!

We are proud of our boys and how hard they played. They had a great season!

Fun in Utah

Our trip to Utah was short this summer. However, we still hand a wonderful time and managed to pack many things in.

We loved reading books with everyone.

We loved going on bike rides.

We loved playing croquet.

We loved getting slurppees!

We loved helping Papa with his boat!

We loved spending time with our loved ones in Utah!

It was a great trip!

Sleepover with Sean and Tracy!

Another one of  my kids' favorite things to do in Utah is to have a sleepover with my brother Sean and his wife Tracy. Sean and Tracy spoil my kids with pizza and milkshakes.

The kids love it when they watch a fun movie with Sean and Tracy too. In the morning, they have donuts for breakfast! I can't imagine having a better sleep over then that. I am grateful that Sean and Tracy put forth an effort to spend time with my kids and make them feel important!

Pedicures With the Girls

One of mine and Emmy's favorite things to do when we go to Utah is to go with the girls and get a pedicure!  It is so much fun to go with just the girls!

 Emmy absolutely loved sitting in the big chairs with all of us. Aunt Millie graciously let Emmy watch a movie on her Kindle while Emmy was getting her toes done. Emmy looked so cute sitting in the big chair!  She felt like royalty!

   Her toes were really fancy with a white flower on them.  Emmy loved every minute and so did I!

Kangaroo Zoo

We love Kangaroo Zoo! A visit to Kangaroo Zoo is a must any time we visit Utah. The kids love every minute of jumping on the inflatable creations.  The kids love doing the HUGE slide.

  It took Lucy a little while to warm up to jumping on blow-up things, but she soon got a hang of it and had a great time. She particularly was a fan of the small slide. Of course Lucy's siblings were eager to help her out in discovering one of their favorite places. 

  We had a wonderful time at Kangaroo Zoo.  To top off our fun afternoon, we stopped at 7-11 for slurpees! 

Baseball and Ice Cream

Some of our favorite things to do with my family when we go to Utah are to have homemade ice cream and to play baseball.

 Emmy was a great help to Papa in making the ice cream. 

As you can tell, Lucy was a big fan of the ice cream. 

For family home evening one night we did just that. Many laughs were had as we all took a turn at swinging the bat and pitching the ball. Lucy watched from the side holding her own ball with Tracy. 

The ice cream was delicious and made to perfection. It was a wonderful summer evening with our family.
