Since the kids had such a great time on a leaf hunt last year, I decided to take the kids again on a leaf hunt. Like I have mentioned before, the leaves in Memphis do not really start to change colors until the end of October, the beginning of November. When the leaves started to change the kids would ask me frequently if it was time to go on a leaf hunt yet. We went on a leaf hunt on the 20th of November.Like last year the kids were very excited to go on their adventure. The kids each picked out a bag to place the treasures they would find on their hunt in.Hyrum was excited to find a HUGE leaf! It was funny to hear Hyrum tell us to not pick leaves that were crumbly.Emmy LOVED the purple leaves.Ben LOVED the yellow leaves! All the kids loved finding the baby leaves. Each child got a turn to be the leader and lead our little group to the next pile of leaves. After we finished our leaf hunt, we went home and made beautiful pictures with the leaves we found. Each child picked five of their favorite leaves to add to their colorful picture.
We had such a great time on our leaf hunt. I think it will become a family tradition to go on at least one leaf hunt during the beautiful fall season.

Great pictures! Looks like a ton of fun. Your children, especially your daughter, are looking so grown up. AND I had no clue that you could fill up your blog roll. I guess you learn something new everyday.
ReplyDeleteYou are always so creative Natalie! The kids look like they had a blast!!!
