Trip to Texas-Part 1
For Brandon's Thanksgiving break, we went to Texas. We all had such a great time there. We arrived on the Monday evening before Thanksgiving. On Tuesday, we went to a park close to Brandon's parents house to have a picnic and to play. The kids had a blast. They loved feeding the ducks! After we fed the ducks, we went over to the playground. The kids were in heaven!Of course, they swung in the swings (one of their favorite things to do). Hyrum tried his best to master the monkey bars.Of course, since Hyrum tried out the monkey bars Ben needed to too.Emmy loved playing with her daddy!Emmy really liked having Brandon race with her down the slides! Emmy wins! Even I tried my luck racing against Brandon and Emmy. The kids loved having Grandma and Grandpa to help push their swings at the park. It was a great day! The perfect way to begin our vacation!

"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." -President Thomas S Monson
Sisters, there is something inspiring and sublime about the little forget-me-not flower. I hope it will be a symbol of the little things that make your lives joyful and sweet. Please never forget that you must be patient and compassionate with yourselves, that some sacrifices are better than others, that you need not wait for a golden ticket to be happy. Please never forget that the “why” of the gospel of Jesus Christ will inspire and uplift you. And never forget that your Heavenly Father knows, loves, and cherishes you.—President Dieter F. Uchtdorf
