For Hyrum's fourth grade field trip, he went to a Rendezvous, with other fourth graders in our area, to Fort Garland.
The kids were told to make something and bring it to swap with another child. Hyrum chose to carve the Sangre De Cristo mountain range out of soap and traded it to another child for a dream catcher.
Hyrum had a wonderful time at the Rendezvous. He went to some exhibits where he was able to participate in activities from long ago. Some of them were a blacksmith place, use sandpaper to make drawings and there was a fossil site for them to explore.
Hyrum's favorite activity was eating ice cream to cool off. He had a great day celebrating and learning about the history of Colorado.
