Students vs Teachers
One thing the kids look forward to all year is the students vs teachers game. The kids give up some of their recess time to practice basketball and play with their friends.
Much excitement is always in the air as the other students in the school make for an excellent cheering section. Both Ben and Emmy did their best and played hard.
What a fun tradition to have at the school!

Dr. Seuss Night
Back in March, Lucy's preschool had a Dr. Seuss night.
We were able to go as a family and have pancakes, green eggs and ham and other fun foods for dinner. Lucy was so excited to go to her school party and take her family there. She still talks about how much she enjoyed her party and what she did there. Lucy was able to color some fun pages and pick out a new book to take home to read.
Of course, one of the best things of the night was having a grand time with some of our favorite friends!

Science Fair 2017
We
are proud of this handsome son of ours. He worked hard on his science
fair project.
The title of his project was Battle of the Senses. He wanted to see if people remembered things better by hearing or reading/seeing. He put in a lot of time to his project and had a wonderful teacher to help him.
He was awarded 1st place in his category, Behavioral Science, for the middle school category, out of the valley where we live. He was also awarded an honorable mention for the paper he wrote about his project.

Ben the Artist!
Ben worked so hard on this masterpiece! This picture had tiny little squares on the whole page. Ben had to figure out the answer to the math fact in the square, find the coordinating color to the answer, and color the square. It took him awhile to complete this work of art. He was so proud of his hard work! Love this boy!

Emmy the Artist
Emmy has always been extremly creative. She is great at taking something from nothing and turning it into something extraordinary!
Below Emmy is holding a yummy cupcake she made.
Emmy was quite proud of her fractions pie she made at school for Thanksgiving.
She also made an incredible haunted house with math facts!
Emmy made this amazing poinsettia that was on display for her Christmas concert at school.
Emmy used some of her birthday money to buy this ceramic elephant and painted it!
Emmy is the happiest when she is creating something! We love this sweet girl!

Sweet Lucy
The pictures in this post include some fancy artwork and pictures that Lucy made while she was at preschool. Lucy has become quite the artist!! I love seeing her creations! I absolutely love the ice cream scoops that spell her name.
One night in January, Lucy just need snuggles from her daddy. She snuggled right up with Brandon and went to sleep. I think the snuggles were enjoyed by both of them! This little girl is growing up way too fast!

Ben and Emmy's Class Play
One of my favorite things about being a stay at home mom is that I am able to go to my kids' various school activities and events.
During the month of December 2016, Ben and Emmy's class put on a fun play based on the story of the Frog Prince.
The kids were so much fun to watch and did an excellent job on their various parts. Emmy played the frog sometimes and Ben played the role of the king. I enjoyed watching the kids enjoying every minute of their time in fourth grade.

Christmas Fun
Lucy was so much fun this past Christmas season. She loved every minute of the shiny lights, Christmas trees, presents etc.
One of my favorite things we did this year was a chain countdown for Christmas that Lucy made at school. She was so excited each morning to take off a chain link and count the remaining links until Christmas.
Lucy also loved making this festive and yummy sugar cone Christmas tree at preschool.
There is nothing quite like having a young child in the house at Christmas time.

Hyrum's First Christmas Band Concert
Back in December, Hyrum had his very first Christmas band concert.
At the beginning of the school year, Hyrum tried out many different instruments, but he was drawn to one of the biggest instruments to play, the baritone.
He absolutely loves band and has improved so much in his playing ability. I can't believe how fast this handsome boy is growing up.

School Halloween Carnival
Just like last year, I helped plan the Halloween Carnival at the elementary school.
I had so much help from many members in the community, it was fantastic.
Like always, Lucy was my buddy and came with me. Of course, she had to wear her costume and have her hair curled! She had fun!
It was great seeing Ben and Emmy do fun things with their friends and classmates like the pop toss, cupcake walk, donut eating contest, toilet paper toss, etc. and the other fun activities.
Brigham was an angel baby and was happy during the activity.

Cowgirl Emmy
These pictures are just too cute not to share! Emmy dressed up pretty cute for western day at school in October during Red Ribbon week. Of course, my boys ran out the door before I got a picture of them. However, Emmy was ready and willing to let me take a picture. She is growing up too fast!

Lucy's Field Trip
Brandon was able to take the morning off of work to take her.
From what I understand, Lucy had a fabulous time riding the bus and train with her dad and friends.
Just like last year, when it came time to pet and feed the alpacas, Lucy got a little nervous. Brandon had to hold her the whole time. However, she did venture to touch the alpacas with one finger this year which was more than she did last year.
Of course, she found the river to throw rocks in with her friends.
It was a wonderful, beautiful fall morning that Brandon and Lucy were able to spend together!
