When Brigham was one month old, we noticed that he was starting to have breathing problems. As time went on, breathing continued to be very difficult for him. Our local doctor recommended us to be sent to a specialist at the Children's Hospital in Denver, CO. There, Brigham was diagnosed as having laryngomalacia and ended up having a supraglottoplasty the next day.
Thank heavens Brandon's brother and his family live in the Denver area. They were so good to us to let us spend the night there before his big day, my sister-in-law brought us a wonderful bag of goodies for us at the hospital.
Brigham's surgery went well. It took him a little while to wake up after the procedure. It was so hard on Brandon and I, giving our baby to the doctors to take back for surgery. This picture was taken before his surgery.
I was an emotional basket case and a nervous wreck during his surgery. After Brigham's surgery, he woke up mad! He was hungry (he couldn't eat before the surgery) and he was hurting. I literally held him the whole night after his surgery as I sat in the chair (he had to stay overnight after his surgery). All the nurses loved him and couldn't get over how cute he was. We really had an excellent doctor and excellent nurses that took care of our baby.
All clear to go home, but you can still tell he is miserable!
Thank goodness my dad came down and held down the fort while Brandon and I were away. He took care of my other kids, helped them with their homework, fed them and kept my house clean. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful supportive dad. This picture was taken the night before we left to Denver. My dad made sure Brigham had a nice bath right before he left. Also, I was so grateful for the priesthood blessing my dad and Brandon were able to give Brigham.
We have seen wonderful improvement since Brigham's surgery. He is breathing so much easier. We are so grateful for modern medicine and the many prayers that were offered in his behalf.

8 Week Old Briggy
These adorable pictures of Briggy were taken on a beautiful fall October morning.
I absolutely love these pictures. It was a around this time that he really start to put on chub. His little thighs were starting to add more roundness to him. He was really starting to lose his hair.
I love how he is starting to get a big gut! He is also starting to grow some heavenly cheeks!
Of course Lucy gave him lots of love that day. She is always so proud that she is his big sister. She still loves to show him off!
I was falling in love even more with his big blue eyes! He was the cutest little Jack-o-lantern!
I spent most of my days snuggling and loving this sweet baby of mine. I wouldn't have it any other way. Time is passing way too quickly with this last sweet baby.

Cowgirl Emmy
These pictures are just too cute not to share! Emmy dressed up pretty cute for western day at school in October during Red Ribbon week. Of course, my boys ran out the door before I got a picture of them. However, Emmy was ready and willing to let me take a picture. She is growing up too fast!
Always Fun When Grandma Comes
We absolutely love it when grandma comes to visit!
Grandma was able to spend time playing with play-doh and reading books with Lucy.
Grandma also spent time snuggling Briggy.
My mom took me shopping to find some new post pregnancy clothes that I have been so grateful for.
Grandma went out in the freezing cold to watch the boys play their football game under the lights.
Grandma was able to help with Ben's birthday party.
Grandma and Emmy enjoyed playing Skipbo together.
We gave grandma her special Disneyland book and Halloween shirt for her birthday.
It was short trip, but we enjoyed every minute with our precious grandma.

Fall Football 2016
While the girls played soccer in the fall, the boys played football. The boys loved every minute of their season. The boys had great coaches that encouraged them to improve and to try their best.
Hyrum enjoyed playing the center lineman and snapping the ball. For the most part, he was really accurate.
Hyrum was also able to be the kicker during the kick-off.
Some of the positions Ben played were running back, lineman, and safety. He was even able to run the football in for a few touchdowns. Ben was quite the impressive player to watch.
One of the highlights for the boys for the season was when they were able to run on the field with the high school football players. Also, during the half-time of that game, they were able to play under the lights. The boys were in pure heaven!
