Remember New Year's...
To start the day off, we had family pictures taken with my family. It was so cold outside. We had to bribe the kids with a promise of going to McDonald's if they smiled in the pictures. After McDonald's and a little nap, we went and played at Kangaroo Zoo. Like always, the kids had a great time. When Kangaroo Zoo closed, we went over to my Aunt Mindy's for the year of the tiger New Year's Celebration.
The kids had fun making New Year's HatsFun games were played liked pin the tail on the tiger and some scrabble game. A Ping Pong tournament was held. My Aunt Lisa brought a fun game for the kids to play. Someone hides the tiger. Then, the kids walk around with sticks that have lights on them. When all the lights are lit it means the kids are close to the tiger. If there is only a few lights lit or none at all, they are far from the tiger.A story about a tiger was read. Ben helped Papa when it was his turn to read.We celebrated New Year's early, around 8:30 or 9:00 I think. I am not sure Ben and Emmy knew what to think of all the noise. The kids enjoyed popping their packing bubbles and blowing their noise makers.

"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." -President Thomas S Monson
Sisters, there is something inspiring and sublime about the little forget-me-not flower. I hope it will be a symbol of the little things that make your lives joyful and sweet. Please never forget that you must be patient and compassionate with yourselves, that some sacrifices are better than others, that you need not wait for a golden ticket to be happy. Please never forget that the “why” of the gospel of Jesus Christ will inspire and uplift you. And never forget that your Heavenly Father knows, loves, and cherishes you.—President Dieter F. Uchtdorf
Those are some great family pictures! It's all about bribing little kids! And, you look great.
