Box Buddies

These pictures were taken in May.  Ben and Emmy found the boxes I was using to pack with and had their own adventures.   I came out to find these birds snuggled up together in a box watching t.v.
It made me laugh to see these two close together like this. Ben and Emmy have a special relationship and I hope that they will always be close.

Silly Preschool Days

The kids had a few silly days on their last few days of  preschool. The kids had been looking forward to these days all year. The kids had pajama day, backwards day
hat day

crazy outfit day

and a swim day.  The kids loved dressing up each day. It was a fun way for the kids to end the school year. We were lucky to have such a fun teacher who made school so fun.

Lucy at 8 Months

Our sweet Lucy turned nine months old just a couple of days before we moved to La Jara, Co.  Her time as an eight month old was a little crazy since we were busy packing the house to move, but I still was able to get some good picture of our sweet little Lucy.  The pictures of Lucy in the purple shirt were taken a day after her 8 month birthday.

Lucy for the most part is a happy, smiley baby. She loves food! This past month she had true blueberries, watermelon, yogurt...she was in heaven.
This little lady of ours loves to eat!  Lucy and Emmy both thought it was grand when Emmy would share her gogurt with Lucy.
Lucy loves to hold onto my fingers and stand and look at everything. She thinks she is pretty fancy.

Lucy went swimming for the first time in a real pool when we went swimming as a family and she loved it!
Lucy loves the water!!  Lucy always has a grand time in the tub.  The wash cloth is Lucy's favorite thing to play with.

Lucy gets stuck in her crib. She rolls and gets her fat chubby legs stuck in the rails. Then she wails until I come and rescue her. Needless to say this new addition to her skills makes nap time very interesting.
I love listening to Lucy babble to herself and talk. It is so sweet to hear her happy noises.

We had a busy month in June trying to do some last fun things with friends.  Lucy was a trooper and went with us to a couple of Summer Movies, Children's Museum,  Blueberry picking, bowling,  the Sprinkler Park, Story Time, Ward Primary activity and every where in between.

Lucy new favorite thing is to empty buckets of things. It is something we discovered while trying to pack for our move. She loves to take everything out of a bucket and explore each toy during the process.
I love it when Lucy claps! She clapped the other day when she heard people clapping on t.v..so cute!

Everywhere we go, people can't help but comment on how cute Lucy is. They love her chubby cheeks and her pretty blue eyes. I must admit that I am partial to them myself.

Anytime Lucy hears music, she starts to dance. It is so cute to see her move her fat little body.

Lucy got her first tooth on July 1st, right before she turned 9 months old.
The kids still think that Lucy is the best thing that ever happened to our family. They love to hold her and play with her. Lucy loves them too.  It is the kids who can get Lucy laughing the best.
Lucy loves to play peek-a-boo. She has the biggest smile on her face when she plays.

Lucy loves to play with my hair when I am holding her. It is always the same spot that she grabs and strokes.
Lucy loves her dad and always has a special smile for him when she sees him. She especially likes it when daddy sings to her.
Lucy loves to look at books and be read to.  She is getting really good at turning the pages.
Love our Sweet Lucy's smile!
I love Lucy's fat rolls. She loves it when I give her kisses or zooberts.
Lucy and I are buddies. She doesn't like it when I leave the room without her.
We love our sweet Lucy and think she is a great addition to our family.

Mother's Day

I was completely spoiled on Mother's Day.

The kids helped Brandon make a delicious breakfast for me and let me sleep in.  One of my favorite parts of the day was the fact that Brandon didn't have any meetings that day.  We ended up having delicious kabobs for dinner.  The kids gave me some awesome rain boots that I have been wanting. I loved the necklace that Hyrum made me at church as well as the three beautiful flower pots that the kids painted and colored for me.

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a mom.  It was something that I would always think about. In fact, in second grade, I was given a folder to decorate to keep papers and other treasures in.  For whatever reason, I drew a picture of twin babies on it, a boy and a girl.  I was weird, I know. However, this goes to solidify my point that I was eagerly looking forward to being a mom at a young age. I am not going to lie, being a mom isn't as easy as I thought it would be.  There are definitely hard moments when I am ready to pull out my hair and I doubt my ability to be a mom, but there are those wonderful moments. The ones that fill my heart with peace and reassurance that where I am at in my life, being a mom, is exactly where I need to be.

I am so grateful for the opportunity that I have had to be a mom to my four crazy monkeys.   I am grateful for the many kisses and hugs that I get each day as well as the random I love yous...

I am grateful that I am able to stay at home and be there mom.  My kids help me to be better and I have learned much from them.
