Fall Football

Hyrum decided to try something new this year. Hyrum decided to join the local youth tackle football league.

It was a season of growth and learning for my child who is a lover not a fighter. Hyrum had the opportunity to play quarter back, special teams  and line backer this season.  Hyrum did really well and progressed as a player through out the season., especially for playing for the first time.

Brandon had the opportunity to coach Hyrum's team when one of his buddies asked him to be an assistant coach.  It was also a season of growth for Brandon.

I was grateful that Brandon had the opportunity to coach Hyrum. He was able to come home and tell me stories about Hyrum at practice that made me proud to be his mother.

I was proud of Hyrum for trying something new and something that was difficult for him. Brandon and I were proud of everything that he accomplished during the season.

Fancy Lucy

My dear Lucy Lu has fallen in love with everything girly! She loves to wear her princess dress, she picks the same dress every time (the one she is wearing in the picture).

During this particular instance, she got into my make-up to be a little bit more fancy.
I love how these pictures show how proud she is of her attire she put together with the help of her sister.

I love this little girl of mine. She makes life so fun.

Piano Lessons

The beginning of the school year brought the start of piano lessons for my Ben and Emmy.  Ben and Emmy were so excited to start piano lessons like their brother Hyrum. We are so fortunate because we have a wonderful piano teacher who lives next door and loves my kids, Chuck.

Hyrum was eager to start piano lessons again after a short summer break himself.

It is fun to hear the kids play and practice their developing talent.

Playing in the Rain

One day in August, we had a down pour! The kids were so excited to go outside and play in the rain with their umbrellas.  The kids were laughing and smiling and having the time of their lives!

Watching my children play in the rain made me smile and laugh at my sweet children enjoying the moment and enjoying the simple pleasures of childhood.

A Fun Summer

We had a fun, but busy summer.

The kids loved playing outside with their friends and riding their bikes.

The kids, especially the girls, loved to lay blankets out on the grass and enjoying the sunlight.

I would stop and take a moment to read in the shade to my kids.

We got a pass to the local pool and went swimming many times.

Lucy's favorite pal in the water was her rhino. She felt invincible with her beloved pal wrapped around her race.

We enjoyed going to our local farmer's market, always making sure to end the adventure with a treat.

It was a great summer filled with sweet memories.

Utah Fun

Our trip to Utah at the end of August/beginning of  September was quick, but we had a lot of fun.

The kids loved spending time at Hot Chocolate Grandma and Grandpa's house. The kids were able to spend time playing games with cousins.

Lucy loved blowing bubbles with Grandma Hot Chocolate.

We went lazer tagging and played minature golf, rode in bumper boats and race cars.

The kids absolutely loved sleeping in my parents' camper trailer.

I think Brandon's favorite part was that he went home with a new car.

It was a quick, but a fun trip.

Ogden Temple Open House

Early in September, over Labor Day weekend, we headed up to Utah for the Ogden temple open house.

Our kids and Brandon had never attended a temple open house before, so we didn't want to miss the opportunity.
We were lucky to have Grandma and Papa come with us.
The temple ground were absolutely gorgeous and the inside of the temple was even more majestic.

We had to wait a long time, but the opportunity for our kids to go inside the temple was worth the wait.

After going to the temple, we headed to Wendy's for a special treat.

My kids have mentioned many times since going to to the open house, how they felt the spirit while they were at the temple. It was such a special day for our little family.
