My Little Chef

Since January, Lucy has been really enjoying our play kitchen.  She is constantly making me things from her kitchen and bringing her creations for me to nibble on.

She is a nut. I love her enthusiasm for life and her crazy personality. She is a spunky little girl who likes things a certain way.  She doesn't like it when Brandon drives the van instead of me. She is a mama's girl.

She is learning new words and talking up a storm. Lucy is learning how to count and loves to count cows on the side of the road. Lucy also loves to sings songs. We just started a mom and me music class together and she loves it.  I am a lucky to be this little firecracker's mom (pictures taken in January 2014).

Miniature Golfing

One of the last things we did, during our trip to Utah, was miniature golfing. The kids love to go golfing and don't get too many chances to play where we live now.  The golf course that we went to was really fun, it even glowed in the dark.
Lucy picked out a pink ball. She loved following her ball wherever it went and would sit on the edge of the course.
Of course our Aunt Meme and Grandma came to golf with us.  Lucy loves her Meme!
The kids were quick to play and eagerly ran from one hole to the next enjoying their time golfing.

Going golfing was a fun way to end our trip to Utah.

Bowling in Utah

Another fun thing we did was go bowling. The kids love to bowl and had a wonderful time.

I still love Hyrum's smile. It is one of my favorite things to see.

Isn't Emmy beautiful?! I can't believe how grown up she is looking these days.
Ben is a hoot to watch bowling! He jumps up and down after he throws his ball until it smashed into the pins.

Lucy loved bowling using the alligator ramp.  Hyrum loved helping Lucy bowl.

After we finished bowling, we headed to Artic Circle for a yummy treat and then dropped the big kids off at Sean and Tracy's for their second sleep over of our trip to Utah.  It was a fun night!

New Years 2014

For New Years 2014 we went to my Aunt Mindy's house to party with all of our fun cousins.

Of course, we had wonderful food. Since this year, 2014, is the year of the horse, everyone brought horse food to share. There were yummy Hawaiian haystacks to eat, and bread sticks in the shape of hay and other fun things.

We played some fun games that had to do with horses and of course we played other fun games too.  Ben and Hyrum had a blast playing BANG with the older cousins.

We rang in the New Year a little early with poppers and noise makers.

Of course Lu had to have two noise makers.

My little family and I headed back to my parents house where we stayed up playing some games and rang in the new year.  The kids insisted on banging pots and pans out on the deck as fireworks went off to celebrate the New Year.

It was a fun night to celebrate a chance to start things anew.

Launching Rockets

For Christmas, the boys received more engines for their rocket they received for their birthday. It was fun to go to the local junior high school to launch them off.

The rocket is pretty fun to watch as launches clear up into the sky.  Each of the kids had a turn to press the button.   It was cold, but the kids had fun running around chasing after the rockets and playing in the snow.
