9 Years and Counting...

On June 7th, Brandon and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary! I can't believe it has been that long.

Brandon once again left little tokens of his love for me to find all over the house that day.

He is such a thoughtful and loving man!   I am lucky to have him!     I made him a candy board poster  and gave him some movies to celebrate our special day.

The kids thought that it was awesome that it was our anniversary.  After dinner, they each came and did nine different tricks for us in a talent show.  It was cute and fun to watch the kids.  The kids also drew us many pictures.  It was a good easy day.

That weekend, we got a baby sitter and went out to dinner at one of our favorite places in Memphis to eat, Las Deliscias.

The food did not disappoint. Next, we stopped by a cute yummy cupcake place.

After our cupcakes, we went and played putt-putt and did batting cages.  It reminded me of when we were dating.

Brandon and I had so much fun together laughing and talking. We ended the night, by using our tickets to buy some sour warheads.  Yep, they were sour!

It was such a great night.

I love Brandon so much. He is such a good man who takes such good care of me and the kids.  He is so understanding, thoughtful and loving.  I couldn't have asked for anyone better.

Bowling

One of the best things, when Brandon did his residency at the VA hospital, was the fact that he was given a day off during each week.  We loved having those. On one of the days he had off in June, we took the kids to go bowling at a local bowling alley.  We signed the kids up for the program that allowed them to bowl free, so we got a great deal.  It was so fun to watch the kids bowl; they were so cute!  We had a great time as a family that day bowling!

Even Lucy did well in her stroller cheering everyone on.

To end our fun afternoon, we stopped by one of our favorite yogurt places, Sweet Cece's, and got a tasty treat.

Field of Dreams~Redbirds Game

One of the things that came in the package, when I signed the kids up for t-ball, were tickets for them to go to a Redbirds game. Since the three big kids played, we just had to pay for Brandon and I.

The night before the game, the head person over the baseball program asked if any of the older kids would like to participate in the Field of Dreams.  The Field of Dreams is when the kids get to run on the field when the pros do.  I egarly replied that Hyrum would love it.  Hyrum was chosen to participate.

We decided that Hyrum needed true pants for this awesome occasion.  So we stopped by the sports store on the way.

Hyrum was so excited to be able to run out on the field.  Hyrum was assigned to run to the catcher's position.  I got a little emotional watching him run out on the field. He is my sweetheart and I love him so much and I knew how much doing this would mean to him.

You could tell that he was taking his role really seriously.   He had that look on his face where he is trying not to smile, but secretly he was loving everything.

The kids did really well at the baseball game, even Lucy.

The kids were in heaven when Brandon bought them hot dogs.  How can you go to a baseball game and not have a hot dog?

Also, the kids thought it was awesome that they were given a Memphis Redbirs shirt to wear.
The big kids loved every minute of the game.

Overall, the weather was amazing for June in Memphis!  It was a fun night as a family!

Family Fun

One night, in early June, Brandon came home from work and decided that it was time for us to have some fun as a family. We picked up a pizza from Little Caesers and headed to this beautiful, magnificent park in Germantown.

The kids had a fun time enjoying a fun dinner and playing on the playground equipment.   Hyrum even ran into some friends from school.

We even tried Lucy in the baby swing again. Don't let these pictures fool you, she wasn't a fan.  Hyrum enthusiastically picked out the clothes that Lucy was wearing for the day.

Poor Ben didn't feel the greatest, but he was still a great sport.  To end the night, we played a makeshift quick game of kickball as a family.

The weather was fantastic for Memphis in June and we had such a great time as a family.
