Turkey Dinner

To start Thanksgiving off, Brandon and my dad went to the annual Turkey Bowl and had a great time.

We had a great Thanksgiving Dinner. The food was fantastic. My parents made most of it and did a wonderful job. Hyrum made this cute place mat at school for his feast and decided he wanted to use it for our family feast. The boys wore their Thanksgiving hats they made at school.Emmy took a nap right before the big meal and was still a little drowsy for the dinner.
We made sure to get a special fancy drink for the meal since it was a tradition on my mom's side of the family.I made orange rolls for Brandon since having orange rolls for Thanksgiving dinner is a tradition on his family.Brandon's mom sent these fun turkeys for the kids to color. We used them to help decorate the table and make it festive. We had beside our table the turkey we made earlier in the week for Family Home Evening. Everyone wrote on a few feathers what they were thankful for. I loved the turkey. Ben was so sweet, he wanted one of his feathers to say mom and he wanted me to have the feather not put it on the turkey.Below are two videos of Ben singing some Thanksgiving songs. Emmy wouldn't sing them for us, she was a little shy and still trying to wake-up.

We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving. After the meal, Brandon, my dad, Camille and I went and saw the new Harry Potter movie. We then came home and played some games.

I was so happy and thrilled that my parents and sister came to visit me. We are so lucky to have them in our lives and are so grateful for all that they do for us.

Hunting Bear Hyrum

Hyrum made this awesome Indian headband for his Thanksgiving feast at school. He loved wearing his headband and thought it was so cool to be Hunting Bear Hyrum. Hyrum came up with his own poses while I was taking his picture. They were too funny and cute not to post!

Thanksgiving Guests

My parents and sister came to Memphis for Thanksgiving. We enjoyed every minute of having them visit with us.

Of course, books were read...lots of books. The kids were thrilled about the movies they were given and enjoyed watching them with my parents. We went to the park and played on a beautiful November day. The kids loved it when Papa would chase them. The kids loved playing many different games with my parents. I LOVED playing games with my parents and sister.

The whole family went and saw the movie Tangled. It was so much fun to hear the kids giggle and laugh during the whole thing. They loved it!

We went to the Carousel...twice!The kids were in heaven when they went and got chocolate milk and donuts!Hyrum was in heaven when we all came to eat lunch with him at school...twice! He was disappointed that Millie wasn't able to come and eat lunch with him since she came to Memphis after Hyrum was out of school.

We had a great time going for a walk around Shelby Farms. Emmy decided to be brave and try riding Hyrum's bike. She did a great job for her first time!!The kids decided it was a must that we go to McDonald's for lunch.Emmy loved painting EVERYONE'S nails and was thrilled when her nails were finally painted. We had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. After Thanksgiving, Camille, my dad, Brandon and I went and saw the newest Harry Potter movie.

The kids loved making Christmas sugar cookies and a gingerbread house with their cute Aunt Millie. We had so much fun having my parents and Camille here for Thanksgiving. The only downside is that Uncle Sean wasn't here too. The kids were really sad that he decided to go to Idaho for Thanksgiving.

We hope Papa, Grandma, Millie and Sean will come and visit soon!
