Sprinkler Park

Before we went to Utah for a month, we were able to go to the sprinkler park here in Memphis with some friends. The kids love it when we go. They always have a great time and enjoy every minute. They love it when the put cups over the sprinklers and watch the sprinklers shoot the cups up in the air. The kids also think it is fun to sit over the drains and make the water clog up.We also have spent a good amount of time in our little kiddie pool out in the back yard and enjoying Popsicles to cool off. We are trying to stay cool in this hot and humid summer.

Spring Sports Wrap-up

This year we were busy during the spring sports season. With all three of the kids playing soccer and Hyrum playing t-ball as well we never had a dull Saturday morning.

The kids improved so much this year with their soccer and t-ball skills.

We didn't make it to the end of the year t-ball celebration since it was on Sunday. However, Hyrum received a cool trophy.
Both the Bengals and the Eagles ended the year with a soccer party. Brandon once again did a great job coaching the team. Our friend Eric was the main coach for Ben and Emmy's team.

I think one of the kids' favorite thing about playing soccer is playing with their friends.

It was a great season and we can't wait for fall soccer to begin!

Last Days of Preschool

During the last week of preschool, Ben and Emmy's had some fun and silly days. One day, was backwards day. They thought it was so silly that they wore their clothes backwards. On the very last day of preschool, they had a water day.

They loved every minute of preschool this past year and have learned so much.

Aunt Lorri's Visit

Brandon's sister Lorri came to visit us in May for Brandon's graduation. The kids LOVED every minute that she is here. Lorri is always so great to play and spend time with the kids. Not only did she play with my kids, she helped me pack my house to get ready to move for the 8th time since Brandon and I have been married. She is such a blessing in our lives and we are so lucky to have her! We LOVE Aunt Lorri!

Brandon's Optometry School Graduation

On May 20th Brandon graduated from Southern College of Optometry. He has worked so hard these past four years. We are all so proud of him! For me, it was an emotional day thinking about how hard he and I have worked and the sacrifices we have made, as well as other family members, so that he could actually obtain his goal of becoming a doctor. This picture includes some of our closest friends that we have had during the past four years. Brandon and his friends Scott and Ben have spent a lot of time together. Brandon has been so lucky to have such great friends to support each other through the process of becoming a doctor. Scott and Ben also have great wives that I have grown close to. We were able to get together a few times. We were lucky to have each other. The "Mormon guys" in Brandon's graduating class. The wives of the "Mormon Guys"The "Mormon Guys" and their friend Mark. The two graduates of the day.Brandon's parents and his sister Lorri were able to be there for his big day.
I am so grateful for the opportunity that Brandon had to be able to attend Optometry school. I know that Heavenly Father played a huge role in Brandon's acceptance to the school, the process of going to school and graduating. This trial/blessing has helped Brandon and I grow closer together as a couple. We have been blessed!

SCO Class of 2011 Awards Banquet

May 19th was the awards banquet for Brandon's graduating class. The evening's event was held at the Hilton hotel in Memphis. The food was pretty good; however, I was too sick to enjoy it completely. My favorite thing of the night was the fact that the school provided free baby sitting at the dinner. It was fantastic to enjoy a nice dinner without the kids. It was great to enjoy the company of the other students and their wives who have become such good friends during our time here in Memphis. Brandon's parents and sister Lorri were even able to attend the event.
We were told that the recipients of the awards given that night were picked by faculty members and that a main part in deciding who would receive the awards were determined by their GPA. Brandon joked a couple times about he wouldn't be one to receive an award. However, when they starting describing the type of skills needed to receive a certain award, I thought to myself that is Brandon. One of the things they mentioned was excellent patient care. I knew that Brandon takes great care of his patients and tries his best to serve their needs the best. The award he was given was :

NoIR Low Vision Award
Low Vision Filter Evaluation Set
Brandon J. Tibbitts I was so proud of him and all that he has accomplished over the past four years. He has worked very hard.

Baby Number Four!!

On February 5th, I found out that I was pregnant. I bought a cheap pregnancy test from the store and it came back positive. I told Brandon and he told me that before I get too excited, that I should buy the nicer test just in case. I headed down to Walgreen's and bought the expensive test and came back with the same result.

I was so excited to be pregnant. We had spent the last 15 months trying. After a few weeks, I started to get sick. I knew it was coming and I knew how bad to expect it. I definitely had some rough days and weeks with another sickness on top of it all. Once I received the medicine I needed and farther along in my pregnancy, things started to improve. However, this pregnancy doesn't even compare with my previous pregnancies. I haven't had to go to the hospital or receive home health treatment. Don't get me wrong, this pregnancy hasn't been a walk in the park, but it still has been the best. I am still nauseous every day, all the time, but I am not throwing up a few times a day.

The kids were so excited to find out that I was pregnant. We told them (I think) at the beginning of March. One conversation I overheard was Emmy telling one of her friends, she said, "Want to hear some great news!? My mom has a baby in her tummy." I love this drawing that Hyrum drew of me and him shortly after.
On May 23rd, we found out that we would be adding another precious baby girl to our family. Brandon and I bought pink cookies at the store to share with the kids. We all went with Hyrum to school and had lunch with him to share the good news.

Emmy was really hoping for a girl. Hyrum was also hoping for a girl and Ben was hoping for a boy. Ben only showed a moment of disappointment, and hasn't said another thing since about having a boy. Emmy has said she wants to name the baby hippo (you know, like the animal). Ben wanted to use the name Dash (from Incredibles) if it was a boy. We haven't decided on a name yet, haven't really discussed names for this baby number four.

Emmy has told many people since we found out the baby was a girl that the baby would be sleeping in her room with her. She is very excited to have a roommate. Hyrum has even volunteered to stay home from school to help change all the poopy diapers. We have already had arguments over who will get to sit next to the baby in the car. This baby will be and already is very much loved!

Baby girl's due date is October 8th; however, I have c-sections so she will arrive around a week early. We are very excited for this new baby.
