Happy Thanksgiving 2009

For Thanksgiving this year we went to Dallas to celebrate the holiday with Brandon's family. We all had a great time there.

The night before Thanksgiving, Ethel had paper turkeys for the kids to make. They turkeys turned out really cute. The kids loved putting the turkeys together; especially since they got to use glue sticks(which they don't get to use very often at home). On Thanksgiving day the kids loved playing outside to their hearts' content. We had such beautiful weather Thanksgiving day. The kids played croquet and I am sure left many marks on the lawn.
The kids also loved the little cars that they were able to drive.

I also saw the kids playing football outside and having a great time.

The food was delicious. Ethel did a great job preparing a fabulous meal!Hyrum, Emily and Ben all loved the pie! Emmy asked for seconds after she finished her piece. Usually, she doesn't get a double helping of a nummy, but we thought we would give in since it was Thanksgiving. I decided to give her some cherry cheesecake. The poor girl broke down in tears. She wanted more of pumpkin pie. It took a lot of convincing to talk her into the cheesecake; having the topping being close to a pink color really helped. After she finished her cheesecake, she told me that she wanted more of the pink nummy tomorrow.

Overall, it was a great Thanksgiving! Thank you again Richard and Ethel.

  1. Yay for Texas! It was gorgeous Thanksgiving week! I love the last video. Ben's just driving in circles and Hyrum stuck his head between the tree. Classic. Your kids are too cute.
