At the beginning of February, there was a science night at Hyrum's school. The school planned various science activities for the kids to do with their parents.
Our first stop was to where all the robots were being kept. Hyrum's rocket robot took first place for his class (he was the only one who entered). The kids were really excited to see all the robots and to find Hyrum's robot.
We then went and found Hyrum's space badge that he made. After that, we went to the cafeteria where the kids were able to participate in various Science activities.
The kids were able to weigh different items.Looked at things under a microscope.Explored items with a magnified glass.Figured out how many drops of water would rest on top of a penny.Made craters with different balls and flour (Emmy's personal favorite).Made blue SLIME!Afterwords, the kids looked at the different Science Fair projects that were done by older children at Hyrum's school.
We got to the school right when the science night started so we were able to do what we wanted to quickly and without the stress of having so many people there. It was a great night and the kids loved being Scientist!
