Demolition Derby

In the month of June, we went to a Demolition Derby close by.  We got there early so we could get good seats.  Luckily, there were some free blow up things for the kids to play on and keep them entertained while we waited for the Derby to start.

At the beginning of the Derby the cars roll out in majestic fashion.  Our kids eagerly picked their favorite cars.

The boys were entranced with the whole derby. My boys have loved cars from basically since the day they were born.  In fact, I think this derby solidified in Hyrum that he wanted to be a race car driver.

Emmy and Lucy were done after a couple of races.  Lucy made friends with the people behind us and they kept giving Lucy popcorn.

In the middle of the night, they had all the kids there run out for the grocery dash. Emmy ended up with a hula hoop.

The red moon we saw that night had a unique beauty. 

It was a fun night that we were able to spend together as a family.
