In April, Hyrum once again participated in our local Hershey track meet. He loves doing it! Brandon and I think the reason he may enjoy doing the track meet so much is because he is able to miss school. Hyrum tried his best in all of his events.
Hyrum did the 50 yard dash, 200 yard dash, 4x100 relay and the softball throw.
Hyrum's favorite is the relay race.
It was fun to watch him race and cheer him on. He is a cute and fun boy that is growing up way too quick. We are lucky to have him apart of our family. I was proud of how hard he worked.

Pinewood Derby
In April, Hyrum participated in his second Pinewood Derby.
He was so excited to create his car with Brandon. He named his car blue lightening. Brandon decided to get a little fancy with the set up of the car, so Hyrum's car didn't do as well this year, but Hyrum still had fun racing his car and enjoyed every minute with his friends.
We are lucky that Hyrum has such a great friends where we live.
Alligator Farm
On one windy day in April, after soccer games, we took our little family to a random local alligator farm. It wasn't anything too spectacular, but it we went on a free day so it was worth the trip.
As we walked into the place, the kids were able to touch a snake. Ben was the only one who was brave enough to touch the snake as we walked into the place.
After we were able to look at some amphibians, the kids were able to hold a real alligator and have their picture taken. As you can tell by the picture, the boys thought that touching the alligator was awesome!!
Lucy was terrified of entering the alligator farm; she kept trying to leave. She insisted that I hold her during most of our time there.
Through out the entrance, there were big turtles roaming about.
We purchased a few buckets of food for the kids to feed the alligators, they loved it.
We were able to walk around outside and see all types of alligators and other animals.
Lucy's favorite part was seeing the fish and smaller animals.
The kids were enthralled watching people wrestle alligators. I must admit that Brandon and I thought it was pretty amazing to watch ourselves!
We even saw an albino alligator!
We had a great time at the alligator farm with our family!

Easter Sunday
These pictures were taken Easter Sunday after church. I love these pictures! I love my children's smiles. I love that by looking at these pictures you can see how they enjoy each other. I love that by looking at these pictures you can tell that my kids are happy and content with their life. I am grateful for the opportunity and privilege that I have to be the mother to these four crazy kids!
Even though it is past Easter, I would like to take a moment to say that sweet is the peace the gospel brings. It is through the Atonement of Jesus Christ that we are able to repent and to try again to be a better mother, wife and friend and find peace in our lives.

Easter Morning
The kids were up bright and early for Easter Morning and were eagerly awaiting to find what the Easter Bunny brought them. The Easter Bunny did not disappoint!
Hyrum received a four square ball, a Harry Potter Movie and crazy balloons.
Ben received his long awaited baseball bat, the movie Rio and crazy balloons.
Emmy received an art kit, the new Swan Princess video, and a light up creation kit.
Lucy received a pink chair, the movie FROZEN and Me stuffed toy.
All the kids received a new book. The boys were given the new Lego movie books and the girls were given Frozen books.
After the kids explored their loot, they lined back up and went searching for the eggs. Our Easter Bunny at our house insists on hiding the dyed eggs as well as the candy filled. Lucy ended up with a lot of real eggs since the other kids didn't waste their time on those.
Lucy's go to face for pictures is a silly face!
The kids were so cute and it was enjoyable for Brandon and I watch their excitement as they discovered what the Easter Bunny brought them and race around the house to find the eggs. It was a great Easter morning!
