Pumpkin Patch

One of our favorite things to do as a family, in the fall, is to go to a pumpkin patch. Early in October, the kids had a day off from school so I decided it would be the prefect day to go to a pumpkin patch. After doing some research, I found out that the closest pumpkin patch was a good two and a half hours away. However, I decided that it was worth it for us to go and do something together that would be fun and enjoyable. Plus, I knew how much my kids would LOVE being at the pumpkin patch and how much fun they would have there.

During our journey, we stopped at Carl's Jr and had lunch.
When we first arrived at the pumpkin patch, we checked out the cute pumpkins that they had on display.

The next thing we did was the corn maze. The kids were really excited since they had never done a corn maze before.
The corn maze we did was in the shape of a tractor.
We actually did get a little turned around, but it was our Emmy girl who helped us figure the way out. The kids really enjoyed being in the corn maze. They thought we should come back another time and do the harder maze.
Next, we picked some yummy apples from the trees.

The kids were thrilled to pick apples and took their job very seriously by making sure that they found the best apples.

The last thing we did was go out to the pumpkin patch to pick our pumpkins.

Emmy and Ben found their pumpkins pretty quick, but Hyrum searched for a long time to make sure he found the perfect one.
We bought Lucy a little one that we found at the main station.

In the picture below, the kids are pointing to the pumpkins that were their final pick and chosen to come home with us.

It was such a beautiful, fun, fall day that I was able to enjoy my kids and the fact that I am the lucky one who has the opportunity to be their mom.
