Grateful for the Good Days

I am grateful for the good days. The days were things run so smoothly in the morning. The days when I don't have to nag my kids a million times to eat their breakfast, get dressed, brush their teeth, make their beds, etc. Last Friday was one of those days.Of course they wouldn't be my kids without a silly picture! Do you like how Emmy is looking at Hyrum in most of these pictures? You can tell that she thinks her big brother hung the moon. All the kids had school that day and they were all excited to go sporting their new Halloween shirt for the season. The kids have been so excited for Halloween this year! I love how Emmy and Hyrum are holding hands (no prompting from mom to do so). You could tell that the kids really love each other that day. The kids were so happy just to be alive and be together it seemed. It was such a great morning. I am grateful for those good days.

Fall Soccer Has Begun

Towards the end of September, the new soccer season started! The kids were so excited to start playing again. Below are pictures from their first practice. Ben and Emmy's team is the Eagles and Hyrum's team is the Bengals! It was so much fun to see the kids out playing and having a great time. They love playing soccer with their friends.
Go Eagles!

On the 25th of September, the teams had a scrimmage with another team. Ben scored two goals during the scrimmage and was quite proud of himself.
I love these pictures of Brandon giving Emmy a little pep talk. She is such a cute little soccer player. Both Emmy and Ben did a great job playing their best in the game.Hyrum's team ended up splitting up since another team didn't show up to play them. Hyrum showing off his muscles. Hyrum was very proud of his mo-hawk that he did.Hyrum practiced being goalie.
We love playing soccer in this family!

Everything

Ben, Emmy and I have had some good times together while this cute little guy is at school. Doesn't he look handsome in his superman shirt? I think so.

Of course we have done some puzzles. As well as played with play dough. We love going to story time at the library. At story time, a few books are read and then the kids are able to do a craft. The kids love playing on the computer. The websites that they like are PBS kids and Starfall. Emmy was so proud of the crown that she made on the computer. She printed it out all by herself! She has some idea in her head that she has the letter "o" in her name. As a result, be low is princess Emoy.I thought Emmy looked so cute one day that I had to take her picture. The kids were so excited when they helped me make banana bread. They thought they were pretty hot stuff being my big helpers. Ben and Emmy loved licking the beaters.I think one of Hyrum's new favorite foods is banana bread. He really liked it.

The kids still love picking Hyrum up from school and are anxious to see what he has in his backpack. Hyrum is still in love with his teacher and is having a great time at school. Below is a picture of him and a fun policeman hat that he made at school for community helpers week. He was so proud of his hat!The kids are in heaven when Brandon comes home, as well as myself. He is such an amazing daddy and the kids love him so much. I say a prayer of thanks every day for being married to such a great man.

First Day of Preschool-Part 1

We decided to try a different preschool for Ben and Emily. The preschool was at a local high school here with the high school students teaching the class. We tried it for a month. The kids were always telling me they didn't want to go. They wanted to go to preschool with their friends. It made me very sad to see their disappointment and displeasure with school. I wanted them to have the best possible experience that they could at preschool which would start them off on a road of learning. I was unsure of what to do with them, but as soon as Brandon and I decided it would be better for them to go to the preschool Hyrum went to we felt peace. The kids will start their first day at Ms. Tami's this week on Wednesday. They are very excited. However, I couldn't resist posting these pictures of the kids on their first day to school at the high school preschool since they looked so cute. I will take more pictures on Wednesday of their official first day at preschool.
