On August 26th, the night before school started, we had our back to school feast. We decorated our card table (since the table would arrive that Saturday) all fancy. I made one of their favorite meals; chicken braid. With the chicken braid, we also had watermelon and corn on the cob with yummy peanut butter bars for dessert and sparkling pink lemonade to drink. I also made crowns for the kids for our fancy night; even Lucy got a crown!
Everything is better with mom!
The kids thought the evening was wonderful. Hyrum is holding up two fingers since he is going into second grade.
The twins wanted to do something with their fingers, so we came up with doing the letter K in sign language.
My two kindergarteners!
After dinner, Brandon gave a special message about how it is important to stand up for what you know is right and encouraged the kids to do so, even if it is difficult. It was a very sweet message. Afterward, Brandon gave the kids priesthood blessings. The spirit was so strong and the kids were given such great blessings for them. Such sacred and special things were said. The spirit was so strong that night. I am so lucky to be married to a man who honors his priesthood so that he is able to give us blessings when we need them. I am also grateful for such amazing, wonderful children who are unique in their own individual ways.
