4th of July 5K and Fun Run
Early in the morning, on the fourth of July, the kids and I headed out to cheer on our family who were running the 5K. Everyone did awesome and many of them placed in their age division. Our awesome Millie took third in the ladies overall.
All of the 5K runners.
After the 5K was the Fun Run. The kids were so excited to run their race. I was so proud of all three of my them for doing their best and running hard. My cousins all divided up so each of my kids was with someone on the race that they knew. My cousins are awesome like that!
"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." -President Thomas S Monson
Sisters, there is something inspiring and sublime about the little forget-me-not flower. I hope it will be a symbol of the little things that make your lives joyful and sweet. Please never forget that you must be patient and compassionate with yourselves, that some sacrifices are better than others, that you need not wait for a golden ticket to be happy. Please never forget that the “why” of the gospel of Jesus Christ will inspire and uplift you. And never forget that your Heavenly Father knows, loves, and cherishes you.—President Dieter F. Uchtdorf
