Hyrum's First Christmas Band Concert

Back in December,  Hyrum had his very first Christmas band concert.

At the beginning of the school year, Hyrum tried out many different instruments, but he was drawn to one of the biggest instruments to play, the baritone.
He absolutely loves band and has improved so much in his playing ability. I can't believe how fast this handsome boy is growing up.

Christmas Briggy

Since Brigham wasn't able to get pictures taken in his adorable Christmas outfit with Santa, I decided to do our own little photo shoot at home.

These pictures were taken when Brigham was 3.5 months old.

I loved how his big blue eyes were really starting to pop and he is really starting to put on weight and chub.

I love that Lucy had to be in on a few of the photos.

I love that I even have a few pictures with our lovely Christmas tree in the back ground.

I love that I purchased this adorable outfit that says best gift ever.  He is one of my best gifts ever! Yes, I smooch those cheeks all day. His big blue eyes melt my heart. We love him!

I loved being able to dress up Brigham in his fancy Christmas attire.

Ward Christmas Party

We had a grand time at our ward's Christmas party this past December.  The food was fantastic and it was wonderful to visit with all of the amazing people from our ward.

Emmy was thrilled to ask Santa for another jar of delicious blueberries.  She has asked Santa for a jar of blueberries for the past few years.

Lucy made sure to ask for the Barbie Camper that she had seen on many commercials.

Ben asked for a spy kit and magic cards.

Brigham was dressed all cute in his Christmas attire for the party, but soon had to be dressed in his pajamas since he had a blow out right before Santa came to the party.

Hyrum decided that he was too old to sit on Santa's lap which kind of broke my heart a little that my kids are growing up!

It was a great night.

Miss Holiday 2016

Of course the holiday season wouldn't have been complete without a Miss Hoilday party.  Due to a severe weather storm, our numbers were few, but we had a grand time.

Kiley was crowned Miss Hoiday once again!
The favorite ornament of the night was the pickle!
To finish off the party, we played some fun Minute to Win It holiday names.

Overall, it was a great party and much laughs were had.

Hyrum's Championship Team

Hyrum had such a fantastic basketball season that I thought he deserved a post by himself.  He did such a wonderful job improving his shot this past little bit, he hustled more and played great defense.
A couple of games he played in this season, including the championship, had some intense moments and Hyrum was able to sink a couple of crucial baskets to help his team solidify the victory.   Hyrum absolutely loved going to Pizza Hut after the game to celebrate the teams' championship win!

This handsome son of mine was so proud of his trophy and the hard work that his team put in to win the championship game! (December 2016)

Winter Basketball

During the months of October, November and December, our big kids played basketball.  They worked hard and practiced twice a week.  We spent our Saturdays and some weeknights watching the kids play basketball. Brigham was enthralled watching his older siblings play.

Both Ben and Emmy improved significantly during the season in their dribbling, shooting and overall playing ability.  I loved how hard they worked and how hard they tried to be a team player to cheer on their teammates.
Ben even received a ball from his coach for being the player of the game!
It was a great season!

O Christmas Tree

Ben absolutely loved the month of December at scouts.  They made the infamous mud pie as well as the beloved sugar cookie Christmas tree.

Ben was pretty proud of his hard work.  He completely loves scouts! We have been blessed that he has had such wonderful leaders.

Decorating the Christmas Tree 2016

When we came home from our trip to Utah, we got busy and decorated our house to make it festive for Christmas.

We absolutely love decorating the tree together as a family.

The kids and I love reminiscing about past years as old sentimental ornaments are taken out and put on the tree.

Every year, our kids receive an ornament that represents them and something that has happened to them this year.

Brigham had a baby, my first Christmas ornament.

Lucy had a beautiful ballerina since she started dance this year.  However, some how I forgot to take a picture of it.

Ben picked a swimmer for his ornament since he really started working hard on the swim team this year.

Emmy picked a volleyball player since she started playing volleyball this past year.

Hyrum decided to pick a football player since he enjoys playing football.

Briggy supervised while we decorated!

Our tree isn't one that is found in magazines for its beauty and decorations. Our tree is the journey of our family and the love that we share. I think our tree turned out beautiful!
