Strawberry Days Parade

From June 13th to July 15th we visited Utah. The kids and I were very exited to go. I flew by myself with the kids and surprisingly it went rather well. Brandon was a little bummed since he would be home all by himself. We had a fabulous time in Utah and from what I heard Brandon really missed us.

When we arrived in the airport we were greeted by Papa Van, Grandma and Millie. We were so excited to see them. The kids thought it was pretty cool that they were greeted with balloons and signs. The fist Saturday we were in Utah we went to the Strawberry Days parade in Pleasant Grove. It was so hot, not Memphis hot, but still hot. Completely different from our experience at the parade last year.

The kids waved at the people in the parade. Emmy still waved to the princesses and she looked pretty cute.At the parade there were lots of advertisements passed out for local businesses. Hyrum thought he was pretty cool because he received an advertisement for a football league and another advertisement for karate. He thought that they wanted him to come and play on their football team and do karate. Yes, he thought he was pretty cool. It was funny to hear him talk about it.Ben thought it was pretty cool that he got a mask from the parade. He loves to wear masks.
Of course, what would a parade be without candy. After the parade, we went to a party with my family to celebrate the arrival of our cousins from Kentucky and my family from Memphis. We had a great time. Thanks Lissa for setting it up and and thanks to everyone else for the yummy food.
