Hyrum's Glow-in-the-Dark Party

Hyrum decided that he wanted a glow-in-the-dark birthday party.  Brandon and I had so much fun planning this party.  The decorations for the party were awesome!  The pictures do not do them justice.

First off, we switched the lights in our front room to black lights. Brandon also bought a big black light from Walmart. We had two huge pieces of black wrapping paper that we spray painted with glow in the dark paint and white paint.

Not to mention that there was at least a hundred glow sticks strewn about the room. As well as balloons that glowed in the dark since they had LED lights in them.

Brandon used glow sticks to make cups glow- in- the-dark and decorated clear plates to have them glow-in-the-dark as well. He also made glow in the dark ice cubes for the drinks.

Also, we can't forget that the cake's frosting was glow-in-the-dark as well. Of course, Brandon made that too.
When everyone arrived, the kids were able to pick out some glow sticks they wanted to wear and have. They were also invited to take the highlighters and color on the black paper on the walls.
The first activity we did was a bucket toss. I lined the bucket with glow-in-the dark tape and gave the kids balls to try and make it in the basket.
Next, we went outside and played Glow Stick Tag and did relay races.

Then we came back inside and played Pass the Glow Stick.

However, the activity that I think was the highlight of the night is when we played the Sock Game, but with the Glow-in-the-dark balloons.   The object of the game is to pick up all the balloons on your side of the blanket and throw them over to the other side. We set the timer and at the end of the game, whoever has the most balloons on their sides lose. We played this game a lot at the party and the kids LOVED it.

Next, Hryum opened up presents from all of his friends.  They spoiled him rotten.

Then, we sang Happy Birthday to Hyrum and had cake and ice cream.  Just like Ben's and Emmy's parties we did an ice cream buffet.

To end the night, while we were waiting for parents to come, we played the Sock Game again.  The goody bag had a glow-in-the-dark straws in them and candy.

It was a great night and lots of fun to celebrate our Hyrum.
