2014 Awards Ceremony

The end of May brought end of the year festivities for school. The first being the award assembly. 

Ben received an award for having the second most check-outs of books from the library for a first grader. 

Ben also received a Computer Whiz award which means that he was a great kids in computers. He was able to listen, follow directions and help others.

Ben also received an award for reaching the Presidential Award of fitness.  The kids were graded on five categories: Curl-ups, shuttle run, , endurance run/walk, pull-ups, and sit and reach.  He ran his mile in 7:56! 

Ben was in the top ten percent of scores and times in at least three of the standards set by the nation to receive this award.

Emmy also received the Computer Whiz award as well as the National Award of Fitness which means she was in the top fifteen percent of scores and times in at least three of the standards set by the nation to receive this award.

Hyrum received the Computer Whiz award. He would have received the National Award of Fitness, but we were out of town for some of the testing for the award.

Of course Lucy was there to cheer her kids on!

I love being able to go to events like this for my kids.  One of the reasons I am a stay-at-home mom is so I can go an cheer my kids on in their events.

I am proud of my kids for being good kids and trying their best.
