Trip to Creede

One fall rainy Wednesday in early October, Brandon and  I took a drive with our Lucy. We did the scenic loop to admire the fall foliage and ended up in Creede, CO. We went to that small town last year. 

We took Lucy up to the old mines by the river so Lucy could throw rocks in the water like last year. She absolutely loved it! She would cheer over every rock that would make it into the water. I love that she was celebrating her small successes.  Her throwing rocks into the water and her happiness that went along with it, is a memory of her I want to keep forever. 

After throwing some rocks and as the rain started to pick up, we stopped at a local small restaurant and had a great lunch before heading home.  It was a great day to spend some quality time with Lucy and Brandon.
