On December 18th, 2010, our ward had their Christmas party. At the party, we had a wonderful meal of ham and other tasty foods. Some people put together a nativity for everyone to watch. The Primary children stood up and sang a few songs. I was surprised at how confident my kids were to get up and sing in front of everyone; especially, Emmy. I was very proud with how they did.
Brandon played one of the wisemen and sang O Come, O Come, Emmanuel. He did a fabulous job. He has great voice. I love to hear him sing. After the dinner and nativity, the kids went to go and see Santa. Hyrum told Santa that he wanted some Legos. Ben told Santa that he wanted a big boy bike, the one with training wheels. Shy Emmy, who would hardly look at Santa, told him she wanted a hippopotamus and a big girl bike. After we saw Santa, everyone gathered again to sing some Christmas songs and carols. Ben asked to see if we could sing Up on the Housetop, one of his favorite songs.
We had a wonderful night at the ward Christmas party. It was a great way to celebrate the special Christmas season.
