Carving Pumpkins

The Halloween season wouldn't have been complete without carving pumpkins. The kids were given free pumpkins at school to bring home.

The first step in carving a pumpkin is to get the top off of the pumpkin and remove all the pumpkin guts.

This year was Lucy's first year to really clean out a decent part of her pumpkin. She thought her experience of cleaning out the guts was fun!

The kids each thought of  an idea for how they wanted their pumpkin to be carved.
Brandon was a good sport and helped carve the pumpkins while I continued to clean out the pumpkin guts.

Emmy's pumpkin had  lots of detail.

Ben's pumpkin had a scary face.

Hyrum chose to have a BYU pumpkin.

Lucy's pumpkin had a great smiley face.  It was cute to see how proud she was of her pumpkin.

Brandon and I carved a couple of pumpkins just for fun

The pumpkins made the prefect addition to our porch and bench. The pumpkins provided a great Halloween atmosphere. It was  fun night with our family!
