"No Toys From Santa"

On Saturday evening, for family scripture study, we read the story of Alma the Younger .

When Alma the Younger is first mentioned in the Book of Mormon he is mentioned as a unbeliever and a persecutor of the members of the Church.

We later read that Alma is visited by an angel. The angel commands Alma to repent and to not persecute the members of the Church. We also learn as we read that one of the main reasons the angel came was because the Lord heard the prayers of Alma's father.

Alma went unconscious for a few days and during that time he experienced the sorrow for his sins and joy in finding repentance and peace through the Savior. When Alma woke up, he changed his ways and became a powerful missionary and leader for the Church. (summary taken in parts from the Mormon wiki)

After we finished reading the story of Alma the Younger to the kids, we asked them what the angel told Alma. Hyrum said the angel told Alma to make good choices. I said that the angel told Alma to repent. Ben raised his little pointer finger in the air and shook it back and forth and said, "He gets no toys from Santa." Brandon and I just busted up laughing. It was so cute. Ben was so serious when he said his comment with his big brown eyes and his little finger moving back and forth. Can you tell what is important at our house? Santa is still a big hit and Christmas has been over for almost a month.
We love our silly Ben Boo!
