"There Was No Room At The Inn"

For Hyrum's school's Christmas program this year the students acted out the Nativity Story. When Emmy saw the baby dolly representing baby Jesus in the middle of the room, she didn't want to leave the doll's side. Hyrum was chosen to be the third inn keeper. He did such a great job practicing his lines in anticipation of the big night. He took his job of the inn keeper very seriously.

Ben waiting for the program to begin.
On the night of the performance all the kids did such a great job. I love that I heard Hyrum's singing voice over all the other kids. The picture below is of the kids singing "Away in a Manger."Hyrum telling Mary and Joseph all his rooms are full, but he does have a stable.
I thought Hyrum did such a great job in the program! I was so proud of him!

After the program Santa Came. The kids were so excited when they heard Santa's bells. Hyrum was eager to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what he wanted for Christmas. Ben wasn't so sure about the idea, but I am sure that since Hyrum sat on Santa's lap that it must be okay.Emmy was excited and nervous to see Santa. Once she saw the nummies Santa was handing out she was anxious to go up and have her turn. However, she didn't want to sit on his lap. There was such a sweet spirit in the air as the young children acted out the sacred story of the birth of our Savior.
