Playing in the Snow

December 22nd was our second day in Utah. The morning started off with myself receiving an early Christmas present...a haircut! I was quite pleased with the results.

Later in the morning, the kids and I went to grandma's school. We were able to say hi to her first grade class and meet other teachers. The kids ended up staying for the class Christmas party. Some of my mom's helpers ended up not being able to make it to the party. As a result, Millie and myself were in charge of some activities and the kids had a great time being with the big kids.

While we were at grandma's school it started to snow. When we came home, the kids wanted to play in the snow. The kids were very excited to go outside and play!
They had a great time. The kids haven't really had much experience with snow. It was really fun to watch them play and explore the snow.It didn't take the kids long to figure out the concept of snowballs (I am sure Brandon had a little help with that). They thought it was so funny to throw a snowball at someone. As a family, we made a small snowman together. It was so much fun. The kids were so anxious to help. We were able to find items to help us make a snowman face.

The end result. Can you tell the kids were getting very cold and were finished with the snow by then? After we took the family shot, Ben decided he was hungry and ate the nose off the snowman...it was a carrot. I guess he didn't want to let a good carrot go to waste!Later that evening the kids decorated an ornament with Millie and her friend Jordan. The kids used their hand prints to make a snowman family on the ornaments. They turned out really cute!! It was definitely another fun day in Utah.
