Hyrum had a constant dry cough from about the end of August to the end of October. After trying a variety of things to help him, we eventually went to an allergist on October 20th to get a poke test for allergies.
As you can tell by the picture, he ended up being allergic to a few things. His biggest allergic reaction was to a grass mix. The result shouldn't surprise me since Brandon is very allergic to grass, to the point of mowing the lawn is a struggle for him. Other things Hyrum is allergic to are Maple, Dust Mites, Alternaria, Ragweed, Sycamore and a few other trees.The doctor came to the conclusion that his cough was allergy induce asthma. His cough was fixed once we got the right medication and the fact that what he is allergic to went down in their count. One thing I must say is that Hyrum handled this visit like a champ. He did a fantastic job with the test. Hopefully, when he has this problem again we will be able to help him quicker.
Those prick tests are pretty awful! Cambri had her first one at 18 months and has had a bunch since then.
