Halloween Weekend

To start Halloween weekend off, we had soccer games bright and early in the morning. After the soccer games were over we went to the community center to their free Halloween carnival. The kids had a great time. By the way, Emmy loved when I would put all of her Halloween clips in her hair at the same time, she thought she was quite fancy!

The kids really enjoyed getting their faces painted. Emmy had something simple painted on her face, a butterfly. Ben wanted to have Spiderman. Hyrum saw Ben's face and decided that he would like to have his face painted like Ironman. Emmy dominated the cake walk and was chosen many times as the winner. Ben and Hyrum also enjoyed participating in the cake walk and won.

Later in the day, we went to the ward trunk-or-treat. I am in the Primary Presidency in our ward and so I didn't have lots of time with my kids during the carnival part of the activity. However, I am grateful for Brandon for taking pictures like I would have.

Ben and Emmy started the night off doing the cake walk. After the party earlier in the day, the kids had the walk down pat.The kids also played tic-tac-toe, The Lolly Pop Tree, fishing and went bobbing for apples. When Hyrum went for his apple he stuck his whole head completely under water. From what I heard, he was quite a sight! Ben went next and decided to complete the activity just like his brother did.Ben and his friend Paulo.Emmy did the cupcake walk again and won.Next, the kids lined up to go out for the Trunk-or Treat. Below is a picture of Hyrum and his friend Jake. Poor Emmy was scared of all the costumes. The one that she was most terrified of was someone walking around with a blanket on their head being a ghost. It was hard to keep her moving during the Trunk-or-Treat and stay up with Ben.Some friends had a pretty fun Scooby Doo van by their car. The kids thought it was awesome.Hyrum LOVED doing the Trunk-or-Treat with his friend Jake. They got so much candy!Ben found the face painting booth at the end of the activity. After the trunk-or-treat, we had some friends come over for some games. It was a fun way to end the night.

The kids loved checking out their loot from the Trunk-or-Treat.
On Halloween day, we went to some friends' house and had some dinner and played games. The kids loved passing out the candy to the people who would come to the door.

Overall, we loved every minute of the Halloween Season!

  1. I miss the WG Halloween Carnival and Trunk or Treat. Your kids are getting so big. I loved Emmy's dress. We almost had a transformer this year. Scottie was torn between Bumblebee and Darth Vader. Vader won out in our home.
