One thing that Ben and Emmy were so excited about, in the month of November, was the opportunity that they had to participate in a Thanksgiving feast. At their school, the kindergartners and first grader have a Thanksgiving feast together. The kindergartners are the Pilgrims and the first graders are the Native Americans.
On the day of the feast, the kids were so excited. The feast was all that they could talk about. Emmy picked out the attire that she would wear to make her look the most like a Native American. She even asked me to braid her hair in two braids.
The feast lived up to Ben and Emmy's expectations. They came home from school proudly wearing their vests and head pieces from the feast!
It was a fun way to start off our Thanksgiving holiday.
