Our Christmas Tree 2013

Brandon insisted that we put up our Christmas tree a little before Thanksgiving so that we might enjoy the tree a little more.  I caved and allowed him to decorate for Christmas.  Of course the kids were eager to help!

 Lucy was so funny. She insisted on bringing two ornaments to the tree at a time, not one, but two.  It was pretty funny to watch her.

It was sweet to see the kids reminisce about their old ornaments they received for the previous years.

For his ornament this year, Hyrum received a cub scout ornament since he is a cub scout.

Emmy wanted a Minnie Mouse ornament to celebrate going to Disneyland for the first time.  Emmy also wanted to make sure she picked a Minnie wearing Christmas attire.

Ben wanted a fancy basketball since he played his first season of basketball.

Lucy received a Minnie Mouse ornament as well since we went to Disneyland for the first time as a family and she loves Minnie.

During our anniversary trip to San Diego, I picked up a Christmas ornament to celebrate our time there.

We also found a Disneyland ornament, while we were in Disneyland, to celebrate our time there.

I love our tree! I love the memories that it holds. I am grateful for the reminders of the different stages of life our kids, as well as Brandon and myself, have gone through.   Putting up the tree was a great way to start the Christmas celebration.
